How I must have talked about it since even the Vanzina's fan .... Finally I saw
Avatar last night.
Now many of you friends know about my passion for fantasy and SF, not to mention the fact that I of avatars in online worlds over the past 15 years I have planted several, then I waited a few offline as the way without hype .....
... but ....
.... I must say I'm disappointed, I expected much more, especially from the comments read a bit 'enthusiastic throughout and the stories of some friends (but are not fans of SF and fantasy, and perhaps this should have been put on alert ).
Cameron is an old hand in Hollywood, has been able to recycle and mix the seen and heard a lot of fantasy and SF in the last 30 years especially bank Jappo (Mononoke. .... and a bit 'too mentioned).
Inside there is plenty of (neo) Ecology and several thought-ambient.
Maybe even a bit 'of Scientology, I do not know if James is one of them (emeritus testedicazzo, let the terms), but it is Giovanni Ribisi, and trimming the role of greed exploitative capitalist / colonialist not think it was an accident.
As for the anti-American message, sorry to disappoint some, but this is a production of 20th Century Fox and myself who fights the system from its multibillion-dollar villa in Hollywood believe very little.
That said, Avatar is a great movie with a solid plot and a relentless condemnation of the war (though typical American with the funny message: there is no peace without war). For all the months of avercene filmaggi like this, for us fans would be like manna from heaven. But I remember Jameson
love for Aliens and Terminator, screenwriting and directing genius.
Avatar is beauty and technology enjoyment, but the genius lies elsewhere ......
